Can you pair up with buddy in PvP? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all. First post. My friend and I picked up this game, and were wondering whether we could somehow make sure we were on the same team in the random PvP areas. If we form a group of 2, and then hit the Start Misson button, will we end up on the same team or will it separate us?

i may be wrong on this but i dont think its possible no. you have to make a roleplaying character to meet up.

No, you can't. Random Arenas are just that - random. You can't form a team in there. You could just hit Enter and try to end up on the same team, or you could just end up against each other

If you want to pair up, head to Team Arenas. You can head in with only a pair and get matched up with two others, but since you'll be fighting other, usually pre-made, teams you probably won't do so well. So just grab two other buddies and head into Team.

yeah you can, if you make it to tombs or droknars you can form your own groups and go from there. random arenas are called random for a reason

You can't form your own team in PvP until you get to the Team arenas, level 20, at Droknars Forge.

However, there are usually not many people playing in PvP arenas at Ascalon and Yak's Bend, so the chances are good that you will get on the same team at some point (or you will end up on opposing teams!).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't enter the mission hoping to get on the same team, and when you find out you are not, leave the team to try again. That is the worst thing you can do to your team.

My husband and I would simultaneously click "enter mission" and lots of times we did indeed fight on the same team (only in the lower level arenas). BUT we always went through with the fight if we weren't.
